Extra commentary: I was fortunate enough to be a member of the White House In-town Travel Pool on Inauguration Day. The photo was taken from the "flash truck" which is where the tight pool of 5 stills photographed the Obamas in the Inaugural Parade.     Extra commentary: I was fortunate enough to be part of the White House In-town Travel Pool on the day President Obama brought the Israeli and Palestinian leaders together at the White House in an effort to re-start the peace talks. This photo was taken during an open event in the East Room of the White House where all of the leaders made statements. Ron Sachs is a second-generation photojournalist based in the Washington, D.C. area. He and his family have covered every United States President since Harry Truman through their news-picture agency, Consolidated News Photos (CNP). Ron regularly covers events at the White House; the U.S. Capitol covering both the House and the Senate; and sports focusing on Washington Nationals baseball and Washington Redskins football. His work appears regularly in the New York Post and many other publications including the Washington Post, Washington Times, Time Magazine, Newsweek, People Magazine, and Paris Match. Ron served as the campaign photographer for U.S. President George H.W. Bush in 1992. His photos have also appeared in the motion picture "A Few Good Men". Ron is one of the 6 members of the U.S. Senate Standing Committee of Press Photographers. This committee determines the photographic coverage of the U.S. House and Senate, the Democratic and Republican National Conventions, and the Presidential Inaugurations. Additionally, Ron serves as President of the White House News Photographers Association, is the chairman of its Advocacy Committee, and is a member of the White House Correspondents Association and the National Press Photographers Association.
